I have an account with Patient Fi for a XXXX XXXX that I have been paying on. The payments are current, and Ive actually been paying over the minimum amount. I got a call from a collection agency saying that my loan was in default and that I needed to set up a payment plan with them to pay it off. They let me settle the amount so I only had to pay half of what they said I owed. I told them that Ive been paying this loan every month on auto draft with Patient Fi and asked why they were calling me saying its been sent to collections. They said they didnt know and I needed to pay it. I set up a 3 month payment plan for $ XXXX with them starting in XXXX. So far Ive made XXXX payments to them, and I have XXXX left. However, my account is still open with Patient Fi and I forgot to turn of auto pay in XXXX so I ended up paying way more than normal. My balance on Patient Fi hasnt changed. Why do I have to pay a collection agency if my account is current and Im still making payments? The phone number of the collection agency is XXXX.
