Contacted via phone ( I did not have any other contact information at the time ) on XX/XX/XXXX requesting details of a collection placed on my credit report. I had received no prior communication before this date. I was informed that this was a medical debt from XX/XX/XXXX ( which is not how it is reported on my credit report ), when I asked for proof such as original account number and service provider ; I was told that a formal letter with details would be sent to me for dispute purposes. This was never received, at which point ( XX/XX/XXXX ) I filed a dispute with XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX. These disputes yielded no further information. Based on the limited information provided via phone, this collection also ( if it is even a valid debt yet to be verified ) violates Florida Statute HB XXXX which limits medical debt collections to a five-year statute of limitations. Credit reporting currently inaccurately lists my collection as {$820.00} opened XX/XX/XXXX with an original creditor as XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX who is not an original creditor but another debt collector I have no prior knowledge of or communication from.
