I am filing this complaint against XXXX regarding their failure to comply with the legal requirements stipulated under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ). Specifically, I requested the method of verification ( MOV ) that XXXX used in response to a dispute I filed. According to the FCRA, upon receipt of such a request, the credit reporting agency is required to respond within 15 days of receiving the request. The relevant section of the FCRA is Section 611 ( a ) ( 6 ) ( B ) ( iii ), which states that if the consumer requests the method of verification used by the consumer reporting agency during the dispute process, the agency must provide that information within 15 days of receiving the consumers request. I sent my request for the method of verification to XXXX via certified mail. I have in my possession the certified mail receipt with the tracking number, showing that XXXX had someone pick up the letter from the postal facility in XXXX, Georgia, on XX/XX/2024. Based on this, XXXX was required to respond to my request by XX/XX/2024. Today is XX/XX/2024, and I have still not received any response or acknowledgment from XXXX. This lack of response is not only in violation of the FCRA but also causes significant concern regarding the accuracy and transparency of XXXX dispute resolution process.
