XXXX installed internet service claiming reliabilty. After 2 months ( aproximatly ) of constant interuptions, constant reboots I stopped service and changed to XXXX starting in XX/XX/year>. I notified XXXX of the change and paid the last bill XXXX XXXX. After a nearly 1 hour of putting up with constant " stay with us '' sales pitch the service representative claimed that my service was disconeccted and billing would stop. A e-mail of the return equipment ( modem ) was sent to me and I packaged the modem and sent it back to Spectrum XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX I recieved a e-mail acknowledging the return. And still the bills came. ( On the XXXX XXXX of XXXX the XXXX contractor physically cut the cable from the pole and dropped the remains in my yard ) I kept marking the bills as paid and closed. In XXXX I started recieving rude phone calls concerning unpaid bills .Since I no longer had the service I wasn't going to pay.I had a " no contract " service so when /if I cancled didn't matter. In XXXX ( or late XXXX/not sure ) I got tired of the haraasment ands called XXXX XXXXI was informed after nearly a hour wait that yes I was correct and they should had stopped billing in XXXX. I was bumped up to a " supervisor " who stated she by company policy could only go back 2 monthe and the bill would only {$120.00} ( aprox ) WHY would or should pay for non provided services? This fraud .It seems XXXX is also " shopping the areas to renew filing agaisnt my credit reports.
