Started lease transfer via BMW financial services on XX/XX/XXXX with documents signed by both parties. XXXX transfer process near completion. Informed on XX/XX/XXXX that car has new recall and now can not lease transfer. Attempted to fix recall immediately however was told that no fix is available ( no parts available ) with no timeline available - told by service center at dealership it could be months. This recall is for brakes and per the recall could cause increased risk of injury due to this recall. I called BMW financial services, recall center, and corporate to attempt to either continue transfer, attempt payoff myself to sell car, or return car to dealer. These were all denied, per BMW. I checked in again on morning of XX/XX/XXXX with dealership and corporate- was told that fix is still not available and I have no recourse. I am stuck in a lease with a car that is not safe to drive ( I have a XXXX and XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX ) and yet can not get out of lease. I am submitting this to CFB to help as I am likely not the only customer in a similar situation ( this recall likely effects thousands of customers. )
