I disputed Jefferson Capital System due to identity theft as Ive recently received a copy of my credit report. This was for XXXX XXXX as I only have ever had one account with them and it was paid off on Time and closed properly. Jefferson Capital System closed my collection account however did not delete off my credit report. Termination of collection authority prior to payment of the debt requires, under the instructions in the CRA reporting manual, that the debt collector also delete their reported collection.
