In mid-XXXX this year, I updated the location for receiving my XXXX XXXX compensation payments, set to begin on XX/XX/XXXX. Unfortunately, I mistakenly provided the wrong account number, and as a result, no deposit was made into my account on XX/XX/XXXX. Although the error was quickly identified, and we knew where the deposit went, where it belonged, and who it belonged to, I am still without the deposit for that month a half a year later. There has been extensive back and forth between the credit union, the VA, and the Treasury Department, with requests for various forms from all sides. I have made over 120 phone calls to resolve this issue. On XX/XX/XXXX, the Treasury received one of the tracers back, and the credit union 's response was, there were no funds available to return and that you have received the funds that were in that account. This response seems inadequate, as it leaves many questions unanswered. I am seeking guidance and enough information to make an informed decision on my options moving forward. I appreciate your assistance and look forward to your response.
