I have disputed an account with XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) about a XXXX XXXX account that they bought. I reviewed my consumer report today, and under remarks they have that I disputed the account and that it meets FCRA requirements. I did not conduct any type of business with XXXX. I did not get a letter from XXXX as I do not live at that address on the letter ( attachment ) that was sent to me when they responded to my dispute on this website. They did not meet the FCRA requirements. How can they re-age an account that they bought from XXXX XXXX? It is illegal to re-age a debt by reporting it to the credit bureaus after purchasing it in the secondary market. I have not and will not make any payments on this account There is no date of delinquency from the original creditor. Legally, this is considered a continuation of the original date. The open date they have is when they purchased it and that date is inaccurate. There is no date of last activity, no charge off date, and the payment history or summary is in accurate. How can XXXX buy an account and put it on my consumer report as if I did business with them? Send me proof that I gave XXXX XXXXXXXX permission for XXXX to collect on this debt and that I gave XXXX XXXX permission to sell the alleged debt to XXXX.
