I attempted to pay my balance on the American Express website on XX/XX/year> of {$2000.00}. The payment was returned the same day citing insufficient funds, despite the account I was attempting to pull from having {$2300.00} as an available balance. I was then charged a fee of {$250.00} for the returned payment on XX/XX/year>. I attempted the payment again on the same day. This time having {$2500.00} in the account. It was once again returned, and American Express charged me a {$29.00} return fee. I have recently attempted to pay my balance again, and I an waiting to see if it will be successful. On XX/XX/year>, I called to attempt to have those fees removed since the problem came from American Express rather than myself or my other bank. That request was denied, so I canceled my card with American Express.
