For the past 6 months I've been trying to remove a Bankruptcy file from XXXX, Equifax and XXXX and they have denied me with all my efforts. I started with the court that is attached to this file number, they responded by letter stating that they do not disclose these cases to credit bureaus. Simultaneously I requested a full report from XXXX XXXX and they too had a bankruptcy file on my records with them but after sending out a letter to them asking that it be removed if they could not show me where I consented to them reporting my information ; they proceeded to remove this account and also sent me an update that it had been removed. Their response ( letter from XXXX ) along with my court response was sent out to XXXX, Equifax and XXXX on two different occasions which they claim their resources to be accurate. Neither of these bureaus have let me know who their " sources '' are that they are receiving my personal information from and I feel as though I am entitled to know that information. This is a misuse of my personal information and has truly affected my lively hood. Looking forward to the CFPB assisting me on this matter.
