I am writing to file a complaint about inaccurate and unfair reporting on my credit report. Back in 2020 I submitted a hardship letter based on the XXXX XXXX credit protection act. I asked the credit card carrier for accommodations based on hardship because I was financially affected by the pandemic. A certified letter was sent to the credit card carrier. My letter was never acknowledged, and after calling numerous times nothing was done by the credit card company to help. Instead, my account was sent to collections where it now reports several months of delinquent and late payments. Therefore, I believe that in accordance with the fair credit reporting act This creditor has violated my rights under 15 USC 1681 section 602 states I have the right to privacy 15 USC 1681 section 604 a Section 2 it also states a consumer reporting agency can not furnish an account without my written instructions under 15 USC 's one 6 6B a creditor may not treat a payment on a credit card account under an open-end consumer credit plan as late for any purpose. I ask that action be taken by the credit reporting agency and remove any information that violates my rights as a consumer.
