I called earlier this year to settle my debt with the debt collector. I was told that they can only settle with a payment of XXXX. Last year I was told that I had to pay XXXX. That is not the correct amount that I owe for the apartment. I did go on XXXX and try to dispute the wrongful amount. I sent in copies of what I owe the apartment and what was given to me. I also highlighted the amount that did not match up with the amount that the apartment claiming that I owe. After doing that, I called back the agency and I asked for documentation of what I owe. The agency sent me the same documents that I had already sent in to XXXX. every time I call the agency, they are always telling me a different amount. The first option was to pay XXXX. The second option was to pay XXXX. The third option was to give him XXXX on Monday and XXXX on Friday and that deal was only going to be for that week. I was told that that was the special for that month. I recently called XXXX XX/XX/XXXX of XXXX and now I am being told to pay XXXX and if I wanted to get on a payment plan that I will have to pay the whole XXXX. All of this sounds like a scam to me that I am receiving different amounts. I do have documentation showing what I owe when I left the apartment in XXXX. I was email my Last billing for my water bill and my sew bill that is paid directly to the rent office where it shows how much that I owe for that month in the previous month. The other charges that was put on the letter that was emailed to me stating that I owe XXXX for this apartment its wrong. There was already things wrong with the apartment when I moved in and I was not supposed to get charged for it. I should not have a settlement for XXXX or XXXX because the amount of XXXX is wrong. I have tried to settle with this agency multiple times with a lower amount and they would not accept it
