Consumer Narrative
TitleMax was charging me, a 100 % XXXX veteran who receives social security a 176 % annual percentage rate on a 30 day loan and repossessed my car without giving me a written letter before the repossession and tried to auction my car off I. 15 days instead of the 25 that was told to me. My car was repossessed twice in this manner the interest payment alone was almost 25 % or my total monthly income as a single parent. I had to re register my car and pay the fees associated with the removal of the lien and registration due to my plates being destroyed.
