I used by debit card with Charles Schwab to pay in advance for a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX necessitating further XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX I called Charles Schwab immediately to reverse the transaction, but they told me they could do nothing until it ceased pending. After it ceased pending, I filed a dispute on XX/XX/XXXX, and provided proof of the injury and unsatisfactory service that was not as described in the form of photographs of my injury, inflicted on me by the XXXX, on XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, Schwab replied with a denial because " the merchant has provided documentation of the disputed transactions. '' The XXXX sent all my confidential medical records to Schwab, and Schwab appeared to ignore the basis of the dispute as an unsatisfactory service that was not as described, only looking for whether the service was attempted. On XX/XX/XXXX I replied with a further dispute laying out the basis of my complaint not as that the service was never performed, but that it was performed in a manner anyone would find unsatisfactory and not as described. On XX/XX/XXXX, Schwab again denied the dispute for the same stated reason. I called and was informed by a customer service representative to email XXXX because they review determinations. I did so. They never responded. On XX/XX/XXXX I reached out again by email and received no response. On XX/XX/XXXX I called Schwab and spoke with a customer service representative and a manager who gave his name as XXXX. I was informed, after much probing, that they simply do not recognize any disputed charge on the basis of an unsatisfactory service or a service that was not as described, and refused to reverse the charge, and insisted I bring a private suit for redress. This policy is unacceptable and highly anti-consumer. Consumers need a remedy more available than a lawsuit for when services are plainly not as described. Otherwise unscrupulous merchants can fail to provide a service or provide a substandard service and run with the money.
