Consumer Narrative

Received the first email on Thursday, XX/XX/year> at XXXX XXXX stating to Please Verify your email address ( which I didn't ) and the second email was the same day and time that states You Saved a device for faster checkout. Email number 3, received same day at XXXX XXXX stating Here is what's happening. Payment will be sent to Daily Sale and my monthly payment will be {$180.00} for 12 months. Never heard of Daily Sale and never applied with Affirm or ordered them to pay anyone. I Googled the company Affirm for the phone number and called them several times. By now on the 3rd email there was a loan number and I referred the number to the person I spoke to, which was very difficult to understand as it was obvious they did not speak English well. I gave that person the loan number and stated that I never applied for anything and why was this sent to me. They asked me for my birthday so they can verify who I was. I refused to give that to them and stated that I gave them the loan number that was provided in the email. Then that person says I can't find your information. I did however give them my phone number as I'm listed all over XXXX as I'm a realtor. XXXX even has my home address as well. After 4 phone calls the last person stated they would freeze this loan/account and they supposedly have a Account XXXX XXXX of which will review the account. Was told that they would take approximately 3 to 5 days to resolve. Well, Saturday, XX/XX/year> at XXXX XXXX they're investigation was complete and in my favor that this was unauthorized and would take 30-60 days for my credit report to be cleared out. Which didn't make sense since I checked my credit report and there was nothing reported. The last email I received on Sunday, XX/XX/year> at XXXX XXXX stating We'd love to hear from you. Asking if they were able to resolve my request. I never responded.,
