I tried to cancel my Experian basic free account but there is no way to do so online and in looking up how to cancel it, they say to call them. I tried calling multiple times today ( XX/XX/year> ) and the automated bot asks for your social security number, which I didn't enter because I don't trust them and their online help states that you should have your membership number ready which I have and would happily share with them if asked but they don't. Then automated voice system doesn't have a cancel option and just continues to take me through a loop when answer that I want help with my membership ( which is one of the options they suggest ) and asks me the same question over and over again. I tried to ask for an agent and was told only very specific cases can be passed on to an agent without being told which cases and eventually the automated voice hung up on me. I still do not know how to cancel my account and they continuously send me emails even when all of my notifications are turned off and there is no unsubscribe link in the emails.
