Consumer Narrative
XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, CA XXXX XX/XX/XXXX XXXX To whom it may concern, I have received your computer-generated letter stating that you have ceased investigation of my credit reports because, in your opinion, you believe that I have used a third-party credit repair agency. Not only do I believe this to be a stall tactic on your part to grant you an additional 30 days to comply with my original request, but I believe it to be a blatant violation of the FCRA. I have attached a copy of my government issued ID as well as mail showing proof of address. So, there shouldnt be no confusion or stall tactics on your end. You were advised by me by certified mail that I questioned the accuracy of a few items on my credit reports. That request was written by me and mailed by me- not a third-party agency. It appears obvious to me that you are abusing your power under the FCRA to escape a complete investigation. On XX/XX/XXXX, I wrote to the below creditors requesting an investigation into items that I believed were fraud, inaccurate, and falsely reported. To this date I have not received a response. Not only do I believe this to be a stall tactic on their part to grant an additional 30 days to comply with my original request, but I believe it to be a blatant violation of 15 U.S. Code 1681i - Procedure in case of disputed accuracy. Your credit reporting agency has been reporting inaccurate and incomplete account information to my credit file. I am distressed that these referenced inaccurate accounts are on my credit profile. Your reporting agency has failed to maintain reasonable procedures in your operations to assure maximum possible accuracy in the credit information they report and may be liable under 15 U.S.C. 1692g validation of debt. Also, in XXXX XXXX Equifax Information XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX your reporting agency may be liable for false reporting. Credit reporting laws ensure that bureaus report only 100 % accurate credit information. While these third party collectors attempted to collect a debt that is not mine, they broke 15 U.S. Code 1692k - Civil liability. I am maintaining a careful record of my communications with your agency and the false reporting collectors for the purpose of filing a complaint to the FTC if the non-compliance continues. Like, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX the below false creditors will be liable for your willful non-compliance. Also, in XXXX XXXX Equifax Information Services LLC ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ), they may be liable for false reporting. Failure to respond satisfactorily with deletion of the above referenced account and a free copy of my report after the changes have been made will result in the above actions being taken against your company. Under federal law, you have 30 days to complete your reinvestigation. Be advised that the description of the procedure used to determine the accuracy and completeness of the information is hereby requested as well.
