To whom it may concern, I recently reviewed my credit report and found an account with inaccurate information. I have attached a screenshot to this complaint. This Account XXXX, is affecting my ability to obtain credit based on the banking system. Additionally, this account has been closed. I request a complete review of my credit report and that this inaccurate information be removed as soon as possible. Upon reviewing my report again, I noticed that no changes were made. According to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, the law states the following : ( XXXX ) Treatment of inaccurate or unverifiable information ( A ) In general If, after any reinvestigation, it is determined that the information is inaccurate, incomplete, or can not be verified, the consumer reporting agency must : ( i ) promptly delete or modify that item of information from the consumer 's file; and ( ii ) promptly notify the furnisher of that information that the information has been modified or deleted from the consumer 's file. According to 15 USC 1681e ( b ) : ( b ) Accuracy of report Consumer reporting agencies must follow reasonable procedures to ensure maximum possible accuracy of the information in the reports. And according to 15 USC 1681s-2 : ( A ) Reporting information with actual knowledge of errors No person shall furnish any information relating to a consumer to any consumer reporting agency if the person knows or has reasonable cause to believe that the information is inaccurate. ( B ) Reporting information after notice and confirmation of errors No person shall furnish inaccurate information if : ( i ) the consumer has notified that the information is inaccurate; and ( ii ) the information is, in fact, inaccurate. XXXX, Transunion and XXXX did not conduct an adequate reinvestigation, and I can prove it with evidence. I request a complete review and correction of the errors in my credit report.
