According to 15 U.S. Code 1681e ( b ) : Permissible Purpose : under no other circumstantial may consumer information be shared unless the consumer have given written consent. I have written letters to Captial One, XXXX, XXXX and XXXX and have asked for documentation showing where I have given consent for Capital One to give my private information to the bureaus and I have asked each credit bureau for documentation where I have given them consent to obtain my private information. Furthermore, I DID NOT give Captial One permission to give me personal information to a 3rd party collection agency. Criminal Liability ( CFRA 604 and 620 ) Imposes criminal liability of any officer or employer if they knowing and willfully obtain information on a consumer from a consumer reporting agency under false pretenses. If someone in XXXX furnished information in your consumer report from someone who did not have permissible purpose, you can that employee liable under FCRA Section 620 or 15 U.S. Code 1681n.
