XX/XX/XXXX First Continental Mortgage paid {$5300.00} to XXXX XXXX tax office for property taxes. Even though they were sent a letter and paperwork informing them that we are 100 % tax exempt. Later, XXXX XXXX XXXX refunded First Continental Mortgage a check for {$1600.00} and mail the remaining balance to us. Which should have only left our escrow account {$3700.00} but we received a statement for {$13000.00} then {$9000.00}, {$8000.00}, {$7000.00}, {$6000.00} and now down to {$5300.00}. Payments made from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX were returned stating that the amount was incorrect. But the mortgage payment amount changed every month. Now, this has messed up our credit because they are reporting we were late with payments, which is not true they just cashed the checks and returned them back to us. XXXX of our family members ended up with XXXX and this put a decline in our income for a little while. We applied for a forbearance or loan modification from First Continental Mortgage. They declined to give us a forbearance or loan modification after they messed up our loan and credit.
