My husband and I went into America First Credit Union XX/XX/24 ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX ) to open up a business account. We are already established members of the bank ( have been for several years ) and already have multiple business accounts with said bank. The employee who helped us set up the account was XXXX XXXX. XXXX ran both of our credit ( hard pulls ) without our consent/knowledge/approval. Upon finding this news out a couple hours after we left the bank, the employee ( I believe her name was XXXX, direct number is XXXX ) I spoke to over the phone called me to inform me we were not going to get approved for our business account because we weren't established members, which is incorrect and that also our credit had been ran. Upon further investigation that XXXX made, she found the employee ( XXXX ) incorrectly filled out our business application and was NOT supposed to run our credit. My husband and I are in the middle of buying a home right now and close on the home on XX/XX/24, so as you can imagine we were incredibly upset to find out our credit was pulled as this is going to lower our credit score and look negatively to the underwriters on our home loan. We went to the bank again the next day to speak with the bank manager ( XXXX XXXX ) and told him the story. He did not seem to care at all that our credit was not supposed to be pulled and especially without our knowledge or consent. We expressed our concern and frustration to him and at the end of the conversation he said someone from the bank would be sending us a letter to give to the underwriter doing our home loan ( that says our credit wasn't supposed to be pulled ) as well as proof that they will submit to the credit bureau that it was also pulled in error- so it goes off our credit report. Of course, we have seen no such documentation and upon countless follow ups no one will get back to us or send us the promised documents.
