I opened an account with Experian to check my credit score. There was a free basic trial, which I opted into. Then cancelled after receiving quite a number of emails I simply did not want. Now I am trying to close my account, I do not need my credit score from Experian. However, it is simply IMPOSSIBLE to close it. I've tried everywhere logged into the website, there is simply no option to close/delete my account. I do not want Experian to have my data anymore and with that sell it. I've called multiple times and just can not get through the menu options, all of them end up with their robot stating that I can do it on experian.com. I've mentioned I want to speak to someone, they will just loop me back into the regular menu where there are no options to close my account. My biggest concern is that this company has all my information, including social security number and I do not believe it is secure in their hands. I no longer want them to have access to my information and they are making it impossible for me to have any authority over it.
