My mortgage lender was XXXXXXXX XXXX They wrongly force opened an escrow account with a balance of {$3700.00}. An additional {$430.00} per month. I had already paid my property taxes to the treasury and had been paying my own home insurance. I told them I had already paid this and to please close the escrow account. They refused until it was paid off. I contacted the state of Arizona and got a refund on the property taxes I paid. Once the escrow account was close to being fully paid off XXXX then sold my loan to Round point Mortgage. Round point mortgage received the escrow account despite it being paid in full and they now refuse to close the account. The escrow account now has a positive balance. All while I still pay my own insurance and property tax. They are stealing $ XXXX from me which is over $ XXXX per year for things that I am currently paying for myself. I filled out a escrow cancellation form with them and they declined it. my mortgage payment is still {$430.00} higher than it should be, and I am STILL paying my own insurance and property taxes. I will seek legal action next.
