Consumer Narrative
I will need to file at least four of these complaints. I was in a car accident on XX/XX/year> where the other party was at fault. Each time I have been to the doctor or seen by a specialist. I have informed each that I was in the accident, however, they take my information, even when I provide the other parties carrier information. For this bill, I had to pay {$100.00} out of pocket apparently a co-pay. Now I have a bill for {$120.00} which is saying I will be sent to collections if I do not pay it. I have hired an attorney to handle the accident, I have been informed that the other party is refusing at this time to pay any of my medical bills apparently due to the lawyer being involved. So, my car insurance and health insurance has had to pay out. However, both have been exhausted. I do not feel like I should be penalized for this when it was not my fault, and the other party is refusing to pay at this time. I realize the companies need their money but that requires me as a single mom paying out of pocket for a medical bill that was not even my fault. I have tried to contact each of these creditors and only get that they do not get involved with accidents, and it still falls on me or my credit will be affected. I do not need my credit damaged ; I have been working hard to build it up.
