My student loan was disbursed back in 2015. I've never been without a job since graduation with the exception of a few months that I broke my foot, but as soon as I was able to work with a knee roller, I was back. I've even held XXXX jobs the majority of the time and did side work to make funds. I've made all attempts to pay my student loan and unfortunately those who helped me co-sign have helped me which is embarrassing to me. The way they set up my payments even if I try to make a payment and bring the one down at a time, they go and disperse the monies through all of them and it's like nothing it budging. For ex. how can it be that a $ XXXX loan and I've made $ XXXX in payments and only $ XXXX went to the principal. The interest is fixed. I understand that forbearance, deferment and late payments can incur fees, but this is unreasonable, a scam, and not far to those hard workers. Again working my tail off and the reason I need help is to not affect those who believed in me and tried to help me. I shouldn't be penalized because my salary doesn't match my payments to live and survive. I live well below my means. Other than car insurance, a cell phone and a place to live I don't have additional expenses. How is anyone to survive.
