Capitol one is telling me I have a card that I DONT have, but I do have a different card from them. I noticed this from my monthly statements over a year ago if not longer. I have called them many times to get clarity on this matter but they themselves cant give me an answer. The card they say I have has a totally different card tier level. I told them with my credit I wouldnt even be able to get approved since the card is a XXXX XXXX card with many perks and a lot more requirements to obtain it. The interest rates are different and it doesnt have a yearly fee which I am being charged. I got notification from the XXXX and other sites stating that my account has been closed and I called Capital one to inquire and they said they dont see that it has been closed. I asked them doesnt that seem odd and they agreed yet said they cant do anything about it. I asked if my balance can be placed on hold until this all gets resolved. They denied my request. I also told them that if you are saying I have that card my balance should be adjusted greatly because of the status and benefits that card offers and If I would have known I could have saved thousands of dollars that those benefits would have covered. After many calls they started to mock me over the phone. My credit has dropped greatly and still dropping. Its affecting my buying power and credit options. The Cards dont even say the same things on it. They opened a fraud investigation a few times and found me at fault for all. I keep telling them that I am not disputing charges. My account is now currently closed without any prior notice from them which isnt allowed, but my online account still works like nothing is wrong. They also said that doesnt make sense yet they still do nothing. I have exausted all my options. I even sent a complaint to New york department of finance and they responded saying that they received my claim but they are not the governing entity for capital one so they forwarded it to this department with further instructions to contact me. I didnt hear a response in a long time so Im putting a claim in myself. Can you please help in this matter because I know Im in the right yet cant get any satisfaction. Thanking you in advance.
