I am a federally protected consumer and I am aware of my rights laid out by the FCRA. Im aware that you as a consumer reporting agency must maintain accurate records at all times and across all credit reporting agencies on consumers files. Please re-investigate the completeness of the account listed within my consumer report that you maintain under my name and update my report with your findings within 30 days of your receipt of this dispute notice as per FCRA guidelines. I have attached screenshots of the erroneous information within my report for this account. Please complete this account within 30 days and forward me the results. If this account can not be verified, DELETE/UPDATE my consumer report. ACCOUNT : XXXX XXXX XXXX Under 15 U.S. code 1681e ( b ) Accuracy of report Whenever a consumer reporting agency prepares a consumer report, it shall follow reasonable procedures to assure the maximum possible accuracy of the information concerning the individual about whom the report relates. 15 U.S. Code 1681i ( 5 ) Treatment of inaccurate or unverifiable information ( A ) In general if, after any reinvestigation under paragraph ( 1 ) of any information disputed by a consumer, an item of information is found to be inaccurate or incomplete or can not be verified the consumer reporting agency shall -- - ( i ) promptly delete that item of information from the file of the consumer, or modify that item of information, as appropriate, based on the results of the reinvestigation; and ( ii ) promptly notify the furnisher of that information that the information has been modified or deleted from the file of the consumer. I have experienced much mental hardship over this erroneous account as it is prohibiting me from refinancing my home. Standards established in the credit industry were created to ensure integrity of data and uniform communication between ALL credit-reporting agencies to maintain maximum possible accuracy. If these standards are broken then liabilities can arise. Your agency is obligated to conduct a thoughtful and fair investigation about this very important matter as I am attempting to handle this issue privately, now. I have attached the erroneous account in question. This account needs to be DELETED/UPDATED due to inaccurate information reported within my consumer report. If this information can not be verified/validated within 30 days of your receipt of this dispute notice then it must be corrected. Failure to do so could constitute willful non-compliance by your agency. Areas of concern : High Credit, Credit limit, Last Reported, Date last active, Date of last payment, payment history. These areas are all erroneous and need to be made complete immediately. NOTE : YOUR AGENCY MUST CORRECT THIS INFORMATION TO BE UNIFORM/COMPLETE WITHIN MY REPORT OR YOU MAY BE HELD IN VIOLATION OF THE FCRA. 15 USC 1681n and 15 USC 168o non-compliance- are well in play here as your agency continues to report erroneous and inaccurate information within my consumer file. Please DELETE/UPDATE this erroneous, inaccurate information on my consumer report within 30 days of your receipt of this letter if this information can not be made complete. Thank you.
