On XX/XX/year> XXXX opened a dispute with the company ONEMAIN in response to an affidavit I sent in describing the inaccuracies displayed on my report by the furnisher ONEMAIN. On XX/XX/year>, this dispute was completed with a resolution of this account had been updated. No where in the description did it express this debt was validated nor did I receive any correspondence with the documents requested to validate this debt. I also requested cessation of collection efforts until the debts were properly validated and as of today XX/XX/year>, they have not been. Under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ), section 805 ( c ), I am entitled to request a debt collector to cease communication regarding a specific debt. I requested that communication cease until debts were properly validated in the original dispute letter that was received by the bureaus on XX/XX/XXXX. ONEMAIN has contacted me 11 times since then without properly validating the alleged debt, placing the company in violation of the FDCPA for disobeying my request. Under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ), particularly 15 U.S. Code 1681e ( b ), which states bureaus must assure maximum possible accuracy of the information in a report, I requested validation of this account due to inconsistency in account information amongst the reports. In this dispute I stated should these documents not be provided... I will assume that these debts can not be validated and therefore expect a deletion of these accounts from my reports. I am now sending the attached letter directly to the company as I also submit this complaint.
