I requested a discharge of private loans from Navient, which I was granted however, I only received a small refund amount of less than 1 % of the total amount paid toward these loan since they were disbursed. Additionally, only XXXX XXXX of my original loans were eligible due to being refinanced with their sister company, XXXX, in order to escape insanely high interest rates. The fraudulent practices of these predatory lending schools and companies began when I signed the loan documents in XXXX, not when this discharge was approved in XXXX. I believe I am entitled to full refund of all amounts paid toward the XXXX XXXX loans ( which only make up about XXXX XXXX of the total private loans received ). This is especially true given the fact that Navient added significant interest to these loans making them nearly twice as much as the origination amount. I am certain others in my position are receiving refunds of the amounts paid toward the loans. This is the only fair resolution to fully restore a lender who has experienced deception, fraud, and predatory business practices by the school and the lender.
