This is a longstanding Issue. See my old CFPB complaints for more details. Santander consumer has informed me that XXXX ) they purchased XXXX XXXX XXXX. They've informed me that XXXX ) they have confirmed that I paid off the loan from XXXX XXXX XXXX. They've confirmed with me that XXXX ) they have received the form XXXX that I mailed to them. They've informed me that XXXX ) they had no affiliation with XXXX XXXX XXXX. This is a company that they purchased. Their bank, santander, bought XXXX XXXX. They literally bought the bank that they claim they have no affiliation with. In their response to me they stated XXXX ) so we recommend you contact your local XXXX office in an attempt to receive a duplicate copy of your vehicle title. Additionally, as they stated in their original response, they stated that XXXX XXXX released the title to me, but that they are not able to acess the records to show that I paid off this vehicle. The reality of this is that they confirm they are aware that I paid off this loan. They also ignore my original complaint that I never received the title in the first place, hence my ongoing complaints with santander. I have been able to finally contact the Nevada XXXX. There are several forms the nevada XXXX needs me to fill out. But in order to fill out the forms the Nevada XXXX needs, I first need Santander to notarize and sign form XXXX that I mailed to them. Just to reiterate in my complaints, they've confirmed that they received this form, and yet have still not notarized this form. The Nevada XXXX has informed me that nothing can proceed until they receive a notarized copy of form XXXX. I can not proceed with anything from the Nevada XXXX until this derelict and negligent company signs a lien release form. I paid off this car in XX/XX/year>, and I am still unable to access my title. I'm unable to register the car. I'm unable to sell the car. This is the definition of a large corporation harming consumers. I want to just have my title, so that I can sell the car. This company is harming consumers. PLEASE DO SOMETHING!
