XX/XX/year> I logged into the loan/mortgage loan servicers website and attempted to make the usual monthly payment ; however, I was unable to make the {$2700.00} payment INSTEAD I was re-routed ( funneled ) to a new tab directing me to make a {$23000.00} lump sum payment. I almost selected the " pay button '' until I saw the default figure. I have never requested a lump sum arrangement. There is alot of language now on the account dashboard that advertising the lump sum versus the monthly. I emailed the company ServiceMac ( Fannie Mae servicer ) and asked how I could resume and/or access the monthly payment option ... .considering it is no longer present anywhere on the website. I have downloads of previous payments and what the website formally looked like and how a customer could make monthly payments. That is all gone now. I ask that CFPB look into this for accountability and compliance purposes since this mortgage servicer is intentionally misleading customers in order to cause loan defaults. In sum, ServiceMac has opted to manipulate their website as to force mortgage delinquencies to steal homes given market conditions. It's such a deceptive business practice that deserves expeditious attention.
