I opened a Business Checking account with Capital One. I made a deposit on XX/XX/XXXX, Capital One sent an email saying my funds would be available XX/XX/XXXX. I then received a letter by mail saying they held {$1000.00} of the funds and would be available on XX/XX/XXXX of which NONE of my funds have been made available. It shows {$0.00} in available and the amount deposited under current balance. They have held my funds without notification and I have called multiple times just for them to say we dont know when they will be available I was told a request was put in twice to close my account but they have not done so, and have not released my funds. This is unprofessional and unlawful. This has put my small business in jeopardy and caused a hardship. They have failed to notify me of anything, other than my funds would be available XX/XX/XXXX which they were not, not a single dime has been available to me. They are holding my funds unlawfully and will not tell me anything other than once we close the account a check will be mailed that can take XXXX business days. Its well past that timeframe and Ive yet to receive an explanation or when I will have my funds.
