I am writing to dispute inconsistent reporting on my credit reports from XXXX, Equifax, and XXXX. The information on these reports is not uniform, which violates the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ). Equifax is the ONLY credit bureau reporting this JPMCB/CHASE account that is NOT MINE! Equifax is in Violation of FCRA Section 1681e ( b ) Accuracy of Report : According to 15 U.S.C. 1681e ( b ), credit reporting agencies are required to follow reasonable procedures to assure maximum possible accuracy of the information they report. The discrepancies in my credit reports suggest that the credit bureaus are not complying with this requirement. Violation of FCRA Section 1681i ( a ) Procedure in Case of Disputed Accuracy : Additionally, under 15 U.S.C. 1681i ( a ), when a consumer disputes the accuracy of information on their report, the credit bureaus must investigate and correct any inaccuracies. The inconsistencies in my reports indicate that corrective actions have not been consistently applied across all bureaus. Attached are copies of my credit reports from the three major credit bureaus, highlighting the discrepancies, as well as my previous correspondence with each bureau regarding these issues.
