Account Name XXXXXXXX XXXX Account Number : XXXX Late Payment Date : XXXX I am writing to dispute the following inaccurate information that appears on my credit report. Under the Truth in Lending Act ( TILA ), specifically 15 U.S.C. 1666b, a creditor may not treat a payment on a credit card account under an open-end consumer credit plan as late for any purpose unless the creditor has adopted reasonable procedures to ensure that each periodic statement is mailed or delivered to the consumer not later than 21 days before the payment due date. Additionally, if an open-end consumer credit plan provides a grace period during which the obligor may repay any portion of the credit extended without incurring an additional finance charge, such a charge may not be imposed unless a statement including the amount upon which the finance charge is based was mailed or delivered to the consumer not later than 21 days before the date specified for payment. In accordance with 15 U.S.C. 1666b, I request that the credit bureau conduct a thorough investigation of these items and correct or remove the inaccurate information from my credit report.
