Consumer Narrative
Fair collections ( FCO ) has not yet agreed to remove my XXXX bill from my credit reports in exchange for paying the bill. I absolutely believe that under the circumstances detailed below, that it would be appropriate for FCO to agree to remove the bill from my credit reports after I pay the bill. I did NOT receive ANY notifications from the Fair collections and outsourcing agency that the XXXX XXXX bill was in collections. I did not receive any email notifications from the Fair collections and outsourcing agency that the XXXX XXXX bill was in collections. I did not receive any phone notifications from the Fair collections and outsourcing agency that the XXXX XXXX bill was in collections. XXXX XXXX XXXX said XXXX XXXX called my number XXXX and did not divulge the name of the company and only said FCO and did not state a reason for his call. I have no knowledge of the name XXXX XXXX or FCO calling me. I did not receive any mail notifications from the Fair collections and outsourcing agency that XXXX bill was in collections. Documents were emailed to me by XXXX XXXX months after reporting my account to the credit bureaus. XXXX gave Fair collections and outsourcing agency the wrong address. XXXX did not provide the correct address to the Fair collections agency that XXXX gave to XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. The XXXX staff ( a young man ) asked me about the apartment complex I was moving to because he noticed the apartment number on the address I gave him. I said it's a lot smaller than XXXX XXXX XXXX. We laughed. He had recently visited XXXX, the city I moved to. XXXX XXXX XXXX disputed the XXXX bill because XXXX from XXXX ( XXXX ) told me XXXX. Wait until corporate removes the carpet stretching {$120.00}. XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX XXXX was going to provide a ledger that would include my last payment of {$600.00}. I finally received the ledger XX/XX/XXXX, 1 year later. XXXX. XXXX promised me a 25 % discount on the correct final bill amount with monthly payments. XXXX XXXX XXXX Fair collections and outsourcing agency representative said yes the bill would be deleted from my credit report after I paid the bill. XXXX XXXX XXXX Fair collections and outsourcing agency XXXX played phone recording of XXXX and XXXX XXXX call on XXXX via XXXX 's phone to my cell phone. It sounded like the volume of the recording was being turned up and down while I was listening. XXXX said the recording was bad. XXXX told be to have XXXX send a letter stating the bill was sent to FCO in error. I asked XXXX to do this for XXXX months. XXXX kept dropping the ball as usual and said FCO owns the bill. FCO says XXXX owns the account. Facts below : XXXX : Regarding companies ' bad business practices. I was a tenant for XXXX and now a former tenant of XXXX years. XXXX 's behavior of dropping the ball and not responding, is documented throughout the internet on XXXX party sites like XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and more. XXXX sent the bill to collections in error because XXXX did not follow through with their directed next steps so I could pay the bill. ( Supportive detailed facts are stated below in this email. ) My credit has been severely damaged for 7 years due to the mistakes by XXXX XXXX XXXX. AND, I was NEVER notified by XXXX or FCO that the bill went to collections. *The facts below show that indeed my XXXX account bill was sent to Fair collections and outsourcing in error because XXXX told me to wait until the final bill was corrected and XXXX would get back to me so I could pay the bill. I never heard from XXXX even after I left voicemail messages for them. This is typical behavior for XXXX staff. I ( XXXX ) was always willing to pay the correct final bill amount and was continually proactive in doing so. Fact : All that needed to be done for me to pay the bill back in early XXXX was to have XXXX Remove the carpet stretching as promised by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX. The carpet stretching was removed AFTER Fair collections disputed the charge in XX/XX/XXXX and AFTER Fair collections reported the account to the credit bureau causing my credit to be severely damaged for XXXX years. Provide me with a ledger that justified the bill 's final balance including the listing of my payment in the final month. This is what I requested to be done in XX/XX/XXXX and continued to request until I received a ledger that justified the balance in XX/XX/XXXX. I asked XXXX XXXX ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) for this in XX/XX/XXXX and he said " that's easy I have it right here. I will email it to you ''. It was literally that easy. The stress of this is too much for me. It's causing me health challenges. I have a sick elderly father that I was going to have to come live with me in XXXX of XXXX. He is not safe to live by himself. I'm very concerned about him XXXX. He lives in another state now. Without a good credit score due to XXXX 's ongoing mistakes, I'm not able to move to a larger apartment with wheelchair access and another bedroom so my dad can live with me. Time is of the essence. In XX/XX/XXXX I was given a very extensive and expensive dental treatment plan that without good credit to set up a payment plan, I can't have done. I also am experiencing tooth pain. Time is of the essence. Details below : The final bill amount was in question on XXXX fronts. XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX. Fact I received the final bill and spoke to XXXX staff. The bill did not reflect the money I paid in my last month. I asked for documentation supporting the final bill amount from XX/XX/XXXX ongoing for a year. During this time I NEVER received documentation stating how the final bill was calculated including my final payments. XX/XX/XXXX. Fact The first time I received supportive documentation on how the final bill amount was calculated. ( The bill is correct ). XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX. Fact XXXX XXXX XXXX staff ) told XXXX XXXX that the carpet stretching charge of {$120.00} would be removed. XXXX told XXXX that XXXX had to remove the charge before proceeding. XXXX told XXXX XXXX XXXX would be notified when the {$120.00} charged was removed. XXXX never heard from XXXX about the removal of the {$120.00} charge. XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX - XXXX XXXX confirmed with XXXX that the above stated is correct. XX/XX/XXXX : XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX offered a 25 % discount and a payment plan. I accepted verbally over the phone with a XXXX staff member. I had to wait for the bill to be updated before proceeding with this arrangement. XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX XXXX left a voicemail message for the XXXX : XXXX XXXX XXXX regarding the {$120.00} charge removal and to please call me XXXX XXXX back ). XXXX never received a response to this call. XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX XXXX left a voicemail message for the XXXX : XXXX XXXX XXXX regarding the {$120.00} charge removal and to please call me ( XXXX ) back. XXXX never received a response to this call. XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX - XXXX accidentally found out the following : XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX XXXX sent XXXX XXXX 's account to the Fair collections agency WITHOUT XXXX 's knowledge. ( Credit reports experts stated to XXXX, this was very unusual for the XXXX not to inform the tenant that the account was sent to collections AND to state the name of the collections agency. This way the tenant would be aware of the situation and that it was ok to pay the named collection 's agency ).
