Consumer Narrative
My Capital one debit card was stolen XX/XX/year>. I filed the dispute XX/XX/year> with capital one. The fraudulent charges in the amounts {$2500.00}. and {$3200.00} was disputed. At the time that I disputed these, I was very sick. I had just got out of the hospital and was on bedrest when all this happened. I informed capital one to the best of my knowledge about the transactions and what had happened with my card. When I started to feel better I called the merchants myself. One of the merchants told me that it was a male that had use my card to check into a hotel. Capital one never did an investigation about this and denied my claim. Capital One did not protect me and my funds.
