Equifax experienced a data breach and placed a fraud indicator on my both my credit nd rental screening file as a result. I did not request this block on my file nor did I expect a breach on their end to affect my ability to obtain access to my credit file. For XXXX years, I have been attempting unsuccessfully to obtain my Equifax credit report and have called XXXX times to resolve the issue. Each time, I am given varying information regarding the issue, the rep claims to fix the issue, nd I still incur the same denial of access to my credit file. It has also affected my ability to obtain rentals due to there being no access for property managers to access my file. The last rep I spoke with claimed the fraud indicator had been lifted and to wait XXXX hours to access it. It has now been a week and the issue is still there.
