I made a purchase over phone from a telemarketer which claimed to be working for a travel agency. They told me they would sell me a travel package for multiple vacations for {$670.00}. I made the purchase and requested a receipt for my transaction. They never provided me with any proof of purchase and later contacted me requesting more money. I reached out to my bank to block my credit card number provided and submit a dispute in late XX/XX/XXXX. The charge was removed from my account at that time and later put back on the account in XX/XX/XXXX. I informed my bank, Barclays that the merchant was not honoring our verbal agreement nor did they provide me with any goods or services. They told me they would submit a dispute on the transaction again, and then began to refer me back and forth between their fraud dept and dispute dept. I was bounced back and forth between different departments regarding this transaction over the past couple of months and today was told that I will now need to submit a written and signed letter via postage to the disputes department, in order to see if they can now possibly re open my dispute on the same transaction.
