I recently reviewed a copy of my credit report. I was shocked to learn that I have been a victim of identity theft, I found an account on my credit report that was not open by me. I am distressed that you have included the information below in my credit profile and that you have failed to maintain reasonable procedures in your operations to assure maximum possible accuracy in the credit reports you publish. Credit reporting laws ensure that bureaus report only 100 % accurate credit information. Every step must be taken to assure the information reported is completely accurate and correct. I have already contacted the Federal Trade Commission and filed a complaint # XXXX. I kindly request that you block and eliminate all information from my credit repoit and provide me with an updated copy of it in accordance with FCRA 605B ( 15 U.S.C. & 1681 c-2 ), which mandates the removal of these accounts within 4 Business Days of receipt, I urge you to block and remove all information related to Identity Theft. XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX Account number : XXXX. Moreover, in accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act, Public law 91-506, Title VI, Section 611, Subsection A-D, I am demanding actual proof that the information was verified, rather than a computer-generated confirmation.
