On XX/XX/XXXX I submitted an application for Mortgage Payment Relief. I called the following week around XX/XX/XXXX to ask about the status of this application. I spoke with XXXX XXXX, a dedicated agent, who advised me that the application was received and that I would receive a letter outlining trial modification terms. I asked if I should proceed with the XXXX payment while waiting on this letter and he stated that no I shouldn't make a payment and instead I should wait for the final response outlining the modification. He stated that there would be no negative credit reporting or past-due payments. On XX/XX/XXXX I was notified that a late payment was reported on my credit report. I immediately made the payment. I submitted with XXXX a Credit Reporting Review Request to fix the erroneous credit reporting which was later denied. I was truly misled by XXXX regarding this entire process.
