I paid off my car on XXXX ( with a small overage... ). The website promises that the lien will be released and the title mailed three business days after being paid off with XXXX. I called in XXXX business days later and was told the lien was going to be scheduled to be released and the title sent on XX/XX/XXXX ( not in compliance with their own website, but still, fine... ). The individual that I spoke to when I called in confirmed that I had in fact paid a sufficient amount to release my title when I paid off my loan. The lien is still not released as of XX/XX/XXXX on the Illinois Secretary of State 's website. This is the second time that Wells Fargo Auto has done this to me! I shouldn't have to submit a complaint to get Wells Fargo Auto to do their job and give me the rightful clean title to my car after I pay off my loan. Warning to consumers : don't get an Auto Loan with Wells Fargo Auto. They won't treat you fairly or in compliance with their own stated rules when you pay off your loan.
