XX/XX/XXXX I took out a loan online at XXXX. In XX/XX/XXXX I contacted the company via their 800 number. I spoke with a customer service representative because I was experiencing financial hardship and could not make the monthly payment. I was told that I had to call on XX/XX/XXXX when the loan was 30 days past due to request to be put on the hardship program. I was told that as long as I called before XXXX a.m. XXXX my loan would not be reported late. I called the 800 number XXXX times on XX/XX/XXXX, and was told that XXXX was experiencing issues with its website which prevented me from being offered a hardship program and that they were not aware when the issue would be resolved. During the third call I spoke with a representative whose first name was XXXX. I decided to use the money for my rent to make the payment to avoid a 30 day late payment of my credit report. I made the payment while XXXX was on the phone with me and she confirmed that I was making the payment before XXXX p.m. XXXX and it would not be reported as late event though the system stated the payment would not post until XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX stated this was an error as the website was experiencing issues and that she was created a ticket so that her supervisors and others were made aware of the issue. XXXX told me to send an email to XXXX to also make them aware of the matter. I received a response from XXXX stating my payment was late and would be reported to the credit bureaus. On XX/XX/XXXX, I called the 800 number again and once again spoke with XXXX. She reviewed the email that I received from XXXX and stated she would escalate the issue to her supervisor because my payment was not late. After speaking with XXXX, I again received an email from XXXX stating my payment was not received on-time. I am filing a complaint because of the inaccurate credit reporting. Prosper states all calls are recorded. Therefore, my calls should be able to be reviewed.
