Consumer Narrative

Subject : Request for Action and Compensation Regarding Inaccuracies in Credit Report I am writing to bring to your attention an ongoing issue with Equifax, XXXX of the major credit reporting agencies. Despite my numerous attempts to rectify inaccuracies in my credit profile, Equifax has failed to take the necessary corrective actions as mandated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), XXXX XXXX. XXXX. In accordance with the FCRA, I have filed multiple identity theft reports with Equifax, requesting the deletion or blocking of fraudulent information on my credit profile. The FCRA stipulates that upon receiving such a request, a credit reporting agency is required to block the reported information within XXXX business days ( FCRA XXXX ). This information is still being reported on my credit report which is more then 30 days after I filed my iniatial report... Furthermore, if the completeness or accuracy of any item of information contained in a consumer 's file at a consumer reporting agency is disputed by the consumer and the consumer notifies the agency directly, the agency shall, free of charge, conduct a reasonable reinvestigation to determine whether the disputed information is inaccurate and record the current status of the disputed information, or delete the item from the file in accordance with paragraph ( XXXX ), before the end of the XXXX period beginning on the date on which the agency receives the notice of the dispute from the consumer ( XXXX XXXX. XXXX ). While XXXX and XXXX have complied with these requirements and deleted all related inquiries from my credit report XXXX months ago, Equifax continues to report these inaccuracies. This discrepancy between the actions of the XXXX credit reporting agencies clearly indicates that the inquiries Equifax is reporting are not factual. I hereby request that the CFPB take necessary action to ensure that Equifax complies with the FCRA. Furthermore, in light of the inconvenience and potential harm caused by these inaccuracies, I am seeking compensation for each item that is required to be removed according to the law ( FCRA XXXX, XXXX ). Under the terms of the FCRA, each rights violation committed by the defendant in a case could require them to pay between ** {$100.00} and $ XXXX. I trust that the CFPB will address this matter with the urgency and seriousness it deserves. I look forward to your prompt response and resolution of this issue. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, XXXX XXXX attached all docs I have attached a copy of when XXXX DELETED THE REQUESTED INQUIRIES
