I am filing a complaint against American Express Gift Card Company and American Express Company ( as licensor and issuer of American Express Gift Card ) for unfair business practices, fraud and unjust enrichment consumer financial credit activity.. On XX/XX/23, I ordered XXXX American Express Gift Cards totaling {$1400.00} ( with fees ) from American Express Gift Card Company using my American Express Card. Package was delivered by XXXX on XX/XX/23 BIT PACKAGE WAS EMPTY ). Immediately called American Express Gift Card Company customer services. Subsequently I learned from an American Express Gift Card Company customer service supervisor that at least XXXX of the XXXX cards were used on XX/XX/23, THE DAY BEFORE I RECEIVED THE XXXX XXXX ). American Express Gift Card Company claim # is XXXX ( note on XX/XX/23 the supervisor I spoke with told me the original complaint number i received on XX/XX/23, XXXX, was given incorrectly by the original representative ). According to American Express Gift Card Company records, on XX/XX/23, they left I message if I wanted refund or new cards. On XX/XX/23, I called and spoke with rep and told I wanted a refund. No response to my request and on subsequent request for the refund.. Since the XXXX cards purchased on my American Express Card, I filed a dispute with American Express XXXX XXXX ). American Express closed the dispute and told me I had to deal with American Express Gift Card Company. I re-opened the dispute telling them I had tried and failed to deal with American Express Gift Card Company. They again closed the dispute and I have had to re-open it several times because they keep on closing the dispute indicating I had to deal with American Express Gift Card Company, It is clear the cards were stolen before I received them and possibly internally in American Express Gift Card Company. Both American Express Gift Card Company and American Express Company have failed in their financial credit responsibilities. And they have not refunded me as they asked on XX/XX/23 and I first requested on XX/XX/23. A full history of the situation and my efforts to resolve are in the enclosed document and attachments.
