On XX/XX/XXXX I wrote and mailed a check for {$1100.00} from our Wells Fargo bank account to the owner of an apartment complex which we had recently vacated. I received a call from the apartment owner on XX/XX/XXXX that they had not received the check. On the same day I went to the Wells Fargo website to and discovered that the check had been posted as cashed on XX/XX/XXXX by a person to whom the check had not been written. It was endorsed an unauthorized payee for Deposit only to a bank in XXXX XXXX. My husband and I have tried several times via phone and an in-person visit to the bank to rectify this and for them to make good on their error. They keep putting us off. I have kept all emails from them regarding this. It has been escalated and assigned to this person at Wells Fargo : XXXX XXXX. XXXX Representative XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX po box XXXX, XXXX XXXX, SD XXXX I was referred to this website by a representative at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in California as this is considered elder abuse.
