Announced in XXXX of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX has said that back In XXXX they had a data breach which unfortunately I was a part of causing me to suffer from financial hardships because of the identity theft thats occurred with my identity.XXXX XX/XX/XXXX, Anthem filed a breach report with the XXXX Office for Civil Rights detailing that, on XX/XX/XXXX, they discovered cyber-attackers had gained access to their IT system via an undetected continuous and targeted cyberattack for the apparent purpose of extracting data, otherwise known as an advanced persistent threat attack. After filing their breach report, XXXX discovered cyber-attackers had infiltrated their system through spear phishing emails sent to an XXXX subsidiary after at least one employee responded to the malicious email and opened the door to further attacks. XXXX investigation revealed that between XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX, the cyber-attackers stole the ePHI of almost XXXX XXXX individuals, including names, social security numbers, medical identification numbers, addresses, dates of birth, email addresses, and employment information. This is something I was unfortunately was apart of that caused identity theft ti happened in my name and suffer from financial hardships.
