Capital One has cheated me every time I've used their limited cash back as account credit promotions. The most recent event was for a purchase made XX/XX/XXXX from shopping partner XXXX XXXX. They also tried to get away with not honoring similar promotions on purchases ( XXXX XXXX ) made XX/XX/XXXX and on XX/XX/XXXX with a purchase from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. It is clear to me that this pattern of cheating customers is repeatable and predictable to the point where I now take many many screen shots and mark a future date in my calendar to call them back ( after 3 statement cycles ) when the cash back does not post on my account. Over the years the customer service reps. have become less helpful, telling me on several occasions that the merchant only allows certain items, or trying to fault me for not meeting the requirements, even when I can demonstrate with screen shots that I did everything properly. Clearly the executives who design and implement this program are aware that is fraudulent and they have worked with others inside and outside the company to make sure that they only pay out to stubborn customers who refuse to give up. In the latest experience the supervisor did not even bother to apologize. I am expected to write and print a letter, put it in an envelope and pay for postage to send my complaint to Corporate, where I can expect ( at most ) a form-letter reply at some distant future date. XXXX transferred me to the wrong dept. before I got this XXXX who did not understand what a dashboard is, until he read me another long paragraph which used the word dashboard. Every time I use one of these 10 % cash back offers they cheat me. Holding now to speak with supervisor. XXXX can not issue a credit to me for frustration.
