I saw an unrecognized transaction on checking account for {$99.00} and immediately alerted Chime. Received a response that an investigation by Chime found no error, meaning they thought this charge was valid. The description on the charge had been noted as General Merchandise. If I had purchased anything there should be an order/invoice to support the purchase as well as a packing slip, shipment tracking and such. None of these items were provided to me. I received an email telling me Chime no longer used email for disputes and I needed to call. I called and was instructed by a member of the dispute team to email proof I did not make the purchase. I explained over and over it was an impossible request - since the vendor when I searched XXXX for the name - didnt exist and I had no way of knowing who or where they were and what they claimed was purchased. She insisted I needed to give documents to support my claim and the only thing I could come up with was a screenshot I had taken of a local newscast showing police activity where our family used to live. I had taken the screenshot to send my adult kids as they would likely be interested in seeing. So, along with a description stating this was the best I could do to show what I was doing near the same time as the charge happened I emailed the screenshot along with their reference number Id been given and got a reply stating I needed to call. So I called again and was instructed to send an email. I stated Id already done that. I sent email again explaining Id already submitted this info. The email instructed me to call. I replied stating I had been told to send info. Was again told Id have to call. This happened - a circular event of call us, Id call then theyd say send an email. Id send an email to the company at the address theyd provided and get the form letter telling me to call. OVER 25 times. Out of desperation I looked up their Board of directors on XXXX so Id have a way of bypassing the offshore call center that did not seem to understand any of this issue. I emailed the CEO, XXXX XXXX. Didnt get a response. What do I have to do to have this company actually investigate and provide the simple backup to their investigation? The only backup I ever got was the intake form which documented the info I had given them initially. That is wholly unhelpful as there was no information regarding what company name actually is, an order/invoice form, where it was shipped to. I know I did not make this purchase but Chime has arbitrarily decided I did and cant prove it, at least from what I can tell. I need my {$99.00} back in my account as I am on SSD fixed income. I am attaching the transaction information seen on my account. This is the entire amount of info I have. How can I prove I didnt make this charge in a way that will make Chime refund my account?
