I receive offers for a credit card with American Express frequently for my business. Once my credit rating approved my odds of approval, I opted to apply. I submitted the application and was met with 2x that I was unable to upload the verifying documents. I called back a 3rd time and was told the application was denied, yet I hadn't uploaded any verifying documents for their review. When I inquired about whom to speak with and report this incident to, I was transferred to a supervisor who later wanted me to complete the application a 3rd time, but instead of adding one of my bank account statements but to sign an XXXX form to release my IRS Transcripts to them. This procedure is not stated on their website, and why after submitting my confidential IRS EIN number verification letter, statements from two bank accounts and the Assumed Named document, was I still denied and asked to submit additional documentation?
