The issue stems from the inclusion of more than several accounts on my consumer reports that have surpassed the statute of limitations for debt collection in Arkansas, which is set at 5 years and for medical debt it is 3 years. Each account that will be uploaded to this portal has reported charge offs for more than 5 years straight. Some 6 years. Despite the expiration of the statute of limitations, these accounts are still being reported, misrepresenting my creditworthiness and violating the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ).
